This page explains how The Vocal Society ("we," "us" or "our") collects and uses your information, and the terms that apply when you use thevocalsociety.com or take lessons or workshops with us. By using our website or services, you agree to this policy and these terms.

Privacy Policy

Information we collect. We collect the information you give us through our website forms and scheduling, such as:

• Your name, email address and phone number

• Your age, singing experience, voice goals and the days and times that work for you

• Your coach preference and how you heard about us

• Workshop details, practice form answers and reviews you choose to submit

Our website host, Squarespace, may also collect basic usage information such as pages visited, browser type and cookies. Lesson scheduling and payments are handled through Acuity Scheduling and its payment processors. We do not store your full card number.

How we use it. We use your information to respond to your requests, send you our rates, match you with a coach, schedule lessons and workshops, process payments, send lesson reminders and updates, and improve our services. If you agree, we may also send occasional updates and promotions.

Text messages. When you check the box on our forms, you agree to receive text messages from The Vocal Society about scheduling, lessons and occasional promotions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text message consent with third parties for their marketing purposes.

How we share it. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with our coaches and the service providers that help us run the studio, such as Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, our payment processors, Zoom and our email and text messaging tools, or when the law requires it.

Reviews. If you submit a review, we may feature it on our website or social media using your first name and last initial. Contact us any time to have your review removed.

Students under 18. A parent or guardian should fill out our forms and agree to these terms for students under 18.

Keeping your information safe. We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide our services and meet our legal and business obligations, and we take reasonable steps to protect it. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure.

Your choices. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal information, unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email, or reply STOP to stop text messages.

Terms of Service

Lessons. All private lessons are 50 minutes and take place virtually on Zoom. You are responsible for a working internet connection and device. Workshop details, pricing and schedules are confirmed with each group before booking.

Payment. Every client keeps an up-to-date card on file. Lessons are charged automatically 24 hours in advance. Rates may change, and we will let you know before any change applies to you.

Rescheduling and canceling. Reschedule at least 48 hours before your lesson to receive a makeup lesson. Lessons rescheduled with less notice do not receive a makeup lesson or a refund. Lessons canceled by the client are not refunded. If your coach has to miss a lesson because of illness or an emergency, you will be offered a makeup lesson or a lesson credit.

Joining late. If you join 15 minutes or more after your start time, the lesson takes place at your coach's discretion. Your coach is not required to extend the lesson.

Your voice and health. Our lessons are vocal training, not medical advice. If you have pain, hoarseness that does not go away, or another vocal health concern, please see a doctor or voice specialist. Everyone progresses differently, and we cannot guarantee specific results.

Our content. The text, photos, videos and lesson materials on this website and in our lessons belong to The Vocal Society and may not be copied or shared without our permission.

Changes. We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
